Amendment #755 to H4100

EBT for MBTA

Representatives Bastien of Gardner, Henriquez of Boston, Sannicandro of Ashland, O'Connell of Taunton and Schmid of Westport moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Transitional Assistance and the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority shall coordinate to insure that by June 30th, 2013 that direct cash assistance funds held on Electronic Benefit Transfer cards be accepted for payment of public transportation fares at electronic fare vending machines.
