Amendment #776 to H4100

To reduce power outages caused by falling branches

Mr. Winslow of Norfolk moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following text:-

“SECTION XX.  Section 1F of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, at the end thereof, the following language:-

(10) No municipality shall be prohibited from requiring utility lines located within the publicly-owned right of way to be kept clear of trees and branches as a condition of the use of such public property by utility companies.”
