Amendment #86 to H4100

Regional School Transportation Fee

Mr. Hill of Ipswich moves to amend the bill by inserting, after section XX, the following section:— 

“Section XX.  Section 16C of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “route” in line 11, the following sentence:-  ;provided, however, a regional school district committee may asses fees to the transported student up to an amount sufficient to cover the outstanding costs incurred by the district if the reimbursement received pursuant to this section is less than 60 per cent of the total amount expended for such transportation.”.
