Mr. Fallon of Malden and Mr. Dempsey of Haverhill move to further amend amendment 341 of H. 4100 by striking out the amendment in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following amendment:-

Mr. Fallon of Malden and Mr. Dempsey of Haverhill move to amend H. 4100 by adding the following section:-

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the comptroller, in consultation with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, shall study and report on the feasibility of allocating funds to the fiscal year 2013 deficit of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to be applied specifically to debt service in order to reduce any anticipated fare hike increases in fiscal year 2013. The comptroller shall report its findings and recommendations by filing the same with the clerks of the house of representatives and senate, the joint committee on transportation and the house and senate committees on ways and means not later than September 1, 2012.
