Amendment #167 to H4179
Stoughton Train Station
Representatives Kafka of Stoughton and Galvin of Canton moves to amend the bill by adding at the end the following section:
"SECTION XX.
a) The commissioner of the Division of Capital Assets and Management is hereby authorized, notwithstanding the provisions of section 40H of Chapter 7 of the General Laws, to convey title to, and easements and a right of way in, certain parcels of land currently owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority in the town of Stoughton, as more particularly described below, to the Town of Stoughton or the Stoughton Redevelopment Authority subject to the requirements of subsections b and c, and to such additional terms and conditions consistent with this section as the commissioner may prescribe; provided however, that the price shall not exceed one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Parcel One- Title in fee simple for use as the Town sees fit is authorized to be conveyed in the parcel generally shown as 45 Wyman Street (Property ID 054 101 0 on the Town of Stoughton assessor's maps). Containing 0.820 acres, more or less, the exact boundaries of which are to be determined by the Commissioner after completion of a survey.
b) The recipient of said title, easement, and right of way shall assume the cost of any appraisals, surveys, and other expenses deemed necessary by the Commissioner of the Division of Capital Assets and Management and operations for the granting of the title.
c) The price paid for said title shall be deposited in the General Fund of the Commonwealth."
