Amendment #259 to H4179

TO CREATE MORE JOBS BY INDEXING PREVAILING WAGE TO MEDIAN WAGE

Mr. Winslow of Norfolk moves to amend the bill in section 2, line 19, by striking after the word “obligations;” the word “and”;

 

and further in item 6121-1215, in line 24, by inserting after the word “applies” the following text:–

 

“;and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of sections 26 and 27 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, the prevailing wage shall not exceed the median wage paid in the commonwealth for occupations of similar skill and competency”;

 

and further moves to amend the bill, in section 2, line 35, by striking after the word “obligations;” the word “and”;

 

and further in item 6121-1216, in line 40, by inserting after the word “applies” the following text:–

 

“;and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of sections 26 and 27 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, the prevailing wage shall not exceed the median wage paid in the commonwealth for occupations of similar skill and competency”;

 

and further moves to amend the bill, in section 2A, line 49, by striking after the word “costs;” the word “and”;

 

and further in item 6121-1217, in line 51, by inserting after the word “department” the following text:–

 

“;and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of sections 26 and 27 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, the prevailing wage shall not exceed the median wage paid in the commonwealth for occupations of similar skill and competency”;

 

and further moves to amend the bill, in section 2B, line 63, by striking after the word “Laws;” the word “and”;

 

and further  in item 6122-1223, in line 71, by inserting after the word “department” the following text:–

 

“;and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of sections 26 and 27 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, the prevailing wage shall not exceed the median wage paid in the commonwealth for occupations of similar skill and competency”;

 

and further moves to amend the bill, in section 2C, in item 6622-1205, in line 79, by inserting after the word “tools” the following text:–

and further moves to amend the bill, in section 2D, line 95, by striking after the word “commonwealth;” the word “and”;

 

and further  in item 6622-1280, in line 98, by inserting after the word “projects” the following text:–

 

“;and provided further, that notwithstanding the provisions of sections 26 and 27 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, the prevailing wage shall not exceed the median wage paid in the commonwealth for occupations of similar skill and competency”.
