Private Construction Contracts

Mr. Michael O. Moore moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting, after Section ____, the following new Sections:-

"SECTION ___.  Section 27B of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “public works” in line 2 the following words:- "project by an agency, executive office, department, board, commission, bureau, division or authority of the commonwealth or county, or municipality or any subdivision thereof.

SECTION ____. Section 27B of chapter 149 of the General Laws is hereby further amended by inserting after the following word “shall” in line 7:- "submit monthy to the awarding authority by mail, first class postage pre-paid, and by electronic mail, certified payroll records that shall consist of a complete copy of such records accompanied by a statement signed by the employer that indicates (a) such records are correct; and (b) the rate of wages paid to each performing the work of mechanic, apprentice, teamsters, chauffeurs, and laborers, and shall".
