WRAP UP PROGRAMS

Mr. Petruccelli moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section 56 the following sections:-

“SECTION 56A.  Chapter 30 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 39S the following section:-

Section 39T. An owner controlled insurance policy and a construction controlled insurance policy relating to a public construction project with a value of more than $10,000,000 shall not take effect until it meets all of the commonwealth’s regulations pertaining to general liability, umbrella liability and worker’s compensation insurance.  This section shall apply only to owner controlled insurance policies and construction controlled insurance policies executed after the effective date of this act.

SECTION .  Section 1 of chapter 260 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following clause:-

“Sixth, Actions upon contracts for public construction projects with a project value of greater than $10,000,000.””
