Mr. Richard T. Moore moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

SECTION __. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the competency determination for public school graduation as defined in subsection (i), of section 1D, of chapter 69 of the General Laws shall take into account competency determination in United States history.
