Expanding the Attorney General's Power of Intervention

Messrs. Hedlund and Tarr moved that the proposed new text be amended in Section XX by inserting, at the end thereof, the following new Section:-

SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of section 11E of chapter 12 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition,  is hereby amended by inserting after the words “electric company,”, in line 6, the following words:- water company,

SECTION 2. Said subsection (a) of said section 11E of said chapter 12, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “electric,”, in line 20, the following word:- water,

SECTION 3. Section 3 of chapter 24A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “electric,”, in lines 2 and 5, the following word:- water,
