Child Labor Waiver

Ms. Clark moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting, after section ___, the following new section:-

SECTION XX. Section 60 of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 18 and 19, the words:- “on the stage for a limited period in a play or musical comedy in a theatre" and by inserting in place thereof the following words:- "for a limited period as a participant in a theatre, circus or any other public exhibition";

and said chapter is further amended in section 104 by striking out, in lines 11 and 12 the words:- “on the stage for a limited period in a play or musical comedy in a theater “ and by inserting, in line 11, after the word “from” the words:- "appearing or" and by further inserting, in line 11, after the word “part” the following words:- “in public exhibitions in any of the above aforementioned entertainment capacities".
