Amendment to H3382

Mr. Barrows of Mansfield moves to amend the bill by striking section 18 of the bill and inserting in place thereof the following:—

"SECTION 18. Section 1 of chapter 64A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding after 'cents per gallon' the following words: annually adjusted by the Consumer Price Index as defined in section 1 of the Internal Revenue Code, but at no time shall said 'tax per gallon' exceed 28 cents per gallon."
