Hospital Medicaid Reimbursement Amendment

Mr. Koczera of New Bedford moves to amend the bill in Section 2, line item 4000-0300, page 50, by inserting at the end thereof the following: “provided further, that effective January 1, 2014 the executive office shall use the most current and best available data in developing inpatient and outpatient hospital reimbursement rates; provided further, that the executive office shall calculate the inpatient efficiency standard based on the 90th percentile of total statewide hospital discharges; provided further, that the executive office shall provide an inpatient and outpatient rate adjustment for disproportionate share hospitals of 5% to the base rate”.
