Elevator Inspection Fees for Small Not for Profits

Mr. Chan of Quincy moves to amend the bill in after section 49 by inserting the following new section: -

SECTION XXX. Section 62A of Chapter 143 of the General Laws is hereby amended in line 7 by inserting after the words: “safety test” the following:- “provided that there shall be a separate fee structure for not for profit entities whose total annual revenue is less than $500,000 year, provide that, said fee structure shall be scaled based on the not for profit entity’s annual revenue; and provided further that, the ability of the not for profit to pay and the highest amount shall not exceed 25 percent of fees set by the department of public safety.”
