Amendment #36 to H3400

certain tolls on the Massachusetts turnpike

Representatives Straus of Mattapoisett, Linsky of Natick and Peisch of Wellesley move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX. (a)  Not later than 90 days after the effective date of this Act, the Department of Transportation shall reinstitute all tolls between interchanges 1 and 6 on the Massachusetts Turnpike at amounts consistent with existing charges elsewhere on the Massachusetts Turnpike as determined by the Department.

(b)  All tolls collected under subsection (a) shall be credited to the Commonwealth Transportation Fund in accordance with section 2ZZZ of chapter 29 of the General Laws."
