Amendment #414 to H3400

Ethanol A

Representatives Reinstein of Revere, O'Flaherty of Chelsea, Basile of Boston, Toomey of Cambridge, Hecht of Watertown and Provost of Somerville move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION X. Section 14 of chapter 91 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2013 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “lands” in paragraph three, the following:

An ethanol storage or blending facility that receives, stores, blends or distributes or is intended to receive, store, blend or distribute more than an average of 5,000 gallons of ethanol per day and is located within one mile of a Census block that has a population density of greater than 4,000 people per square mile shall not be licensed or otherwise permitted on private tidelands or Commonwealth tidelands."
