Toxics Use Reduction Institute Funding

Representatives Gobi of Spencer, Smizik of Brookline, Kaufman of Lexington, Malia of Boston, McMurtry of Dedham, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Hecht of Watertown, Garlick of Needham, Dykema of Holliston, Miceli of Wilmington, Murphy of Lowell, Cantwell of Marshfield and Keefe of Worcester move to amend House Bill 3400, in section 2, in item 2210-0105, in line 10, by inserting after the words “various implementation requirements of said chapter 21l;” the following words: “provided further, that not less than $1,629,860 from this item shall be made available for the operation of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute program at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell; provided further, that the department shall enter into an interagency service agreement with the University of Massachusetts to make such funding available for this purpose; provided further, that not less than $644,096 from this item shall be made available for toxics use reduction technical assistance and technology in accordance with said chapter 21I;”.
