Amendment #607 to H3400

Outside Section 87 Amendment

Representatives Cabral of New Bedford, Khan of Newton, Sciortino of Medford and Sannicandro of Ashland moves to amend H3400, in Section 87 by striking the words:

“provided, however, that the department shall not use numerical identifiers other than valid social security numbers for time periods in excess of 6 months,”

and by inserting in lieu thereof the words:

”provided, however, that the department shall not use numerical identifiers other than valid social security numbers for individuals for whom benefits are paid for time periods in excess of 6 months, unless the individual is a victim of domestic violence who has a pending petition for legal status under the federal Violence Against Women Act.”
