Amendment #741 to H3400

Storage of Information Collected By License Plate Readers

Representatives deMacedo of Plymouth, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Gifford of Wareham, Orrall of Lakeville, Beaton of Shrewsbury, Ferguson of Holden, Cantwell of Marshfield, Miceli of Wilmington and Hunt of Sandwich move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION X. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, information obtained by any state agency or any of its political subdivisions, including law enforcement, through the use of automated license plate recognition technology shall be destroyed no later than 45 days following its collection.”
