Adult Foster Care Report
Representatives Chan of Quincy, Ayers of Quincy, Stanley of Waltham, Dwyer of Woburn, Pignatelli of Lenox, Cariddi of North Adams, Fennell of Lynn, Garballey of Arlington, Brodeur of Melrose, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield and McMurtry of Dedham move to amend the bill by inserting after section 90 by inserting the following new section.
SECTION XXXX. The executive office of health and Human services shall complete a rate review and report of the MassHealth payment rates for Adult Foster Care Services, pursuant to section 13D of Chapter 118E of the General laws; provided further it shall be consistent with Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012 and shall consider innovative program features that lower the growth of long term care and health costs and; opportunities for incorporating alternative payment methodologies that will promote caregiver recruitment and retention and foster improved consumer access and health outcomes. Said report shall be completed by December 31, 2013 and be reported to the House and Senate Ways and Means.”
