Amendment #746 to H3400

Children’s Autism Medicaid Waiver

Representatives Benson of Lunenburg, Decker of Cambridge, Gregoire of Marlborough, Balser of Newton, Dwyer of Woburn, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Puppolo of Springfield, Scibak of South Hadley, Smizik of Brookline, Fox of Boston, Cabral of New Bedford, Rogers of Norwood, Bradley of Hingham, Sannicandro of Ashland, Ferguson of Holden, Murphy of Weymouth, Khan of Newton and Fernandes of Milford moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line 5, by striking out the figures “$4,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$5,000,000”;

and in said item, on page 79 in line 13, by inserting after “under said waiver” the following: “, including but not limited to establishing two regularly scheduled enrollment periods per year; provided further that the department shall take all steps necessary to increase capacity of the program to 500 children by July 1, 2016, subject to appropriation;”; and in said item, on page 79, in lines 28 and 29, by striking out “for children on the autism spectrum of all ages in the future” and inserting in place thereof the following: “in order to provide the flexible services and supports required by children with autism ages 9-22”; and in said item, on page 79, in line 33, by striking the figures “$5,623,439” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$6,623,439”.
