Amendment #782 to H3400

To more fairly determine the excise tax for antique motor vehicles

Mr. Winslow of Norfolk moves to amend the bill by adding the following sections:-

“SECTION XX.  Section 4 of chapter 64I of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 26, after the word “except” the following words:- “an antique motor vehicle 25 years and older or”.

SECTION XX.  Said section 4 of chapter 64I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 35, after the word “registrar.” the following sentence:-

‘The sales price of an antique motor vehicle shall be the actual amount paid by the purchaser or the market value of the antique motor vehicle based on its actual condition determined by a licensed appraiser or value guides that value based on condition at the time of sale.’ ”
