Veterans Employment

Representatives Dykema of Holliston, Sannicandro of Ashland, Walsh of Framingham, Schmid of Westport, Rogers of Cambridge, Harrington of Groton and Peisch of Wellesley move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7066-0000, by inserting after “shall promulgate regulations and criteria for said program”  the following: “provided further that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for a pilot program to provide internship opportunities and workforce training for Massachusetts Veterans at Framingham State University and Massachusetts Bay Community College, for which an evaluation of results shall be provided to the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs no later than 18 months following adoption;”’ and in said item by striking out the figures “$2,908,529” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$3,008,529”.
