Transportation Reimbursements to Work and Job Training for Welfare Recipients

Representatives Sannicandro of Ashland, Brady of Brockton, Cabral of New Bedford, Canavan of Brockton, Conroy of Wayland, Cronin of Easton, Decker of Cambridge, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Finn of West Springfield, Forry of Boston, Fox of Boston, Gregoire of Marlborough, Hecht of Watertown, Keefe of Worcester, Khan of Newton, O'Day of West Boylston, Rogers of Cambridge, Sciortino of Medford, Smizik of Brookline, Swan of Springfield, Toomey of Cambridge, Walsh of Framingham and Walsh of Boston move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4403-2000, by striking the figure $306,244,402 and inserting in place thereof the figure $307,245,031, and

 

by inserting after the words “standard of need for the month of September 2013” the following: “provided further, that $80 per month reimbursement for transportation expenses shall be paid to recipients who need transportation assistance to participate in approved work activities;
