Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund

Representatives Conroy of Wayland, Cariddi of North Adams, McMurtry of Dedham, O'Day of West Boylston, Gordon of Bedford, Garballey of Arlington, Scibak of South Hadley, Koczera of New Bedford, Sullivan of Fall River, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Hecht of Watertown, Andrews of Orange, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Kaufman of Lexington and Garry of Dracut move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7002-0012 the following item:

“7002-1074 The Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund to support employer-led training partnerships aligned to the Commonwealth's economic development strategy.  Funds will provide education and skills development for unemployed and underemployed persons that lead to jobs in high growth industry sectors.  $5,000,000."
