Amendment #821 to H3400

Meat and Poultry Inspectors

Representatives Schmid of Westport, Gobi of Spencer, Lewis of Winchester, Garlick of Needham, Chan of Quincy, Sullivan of Fall River, Koczera of New Bedford, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Markey of Dartmouth and Walsh of Framingham move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4510-0600, by inserting after “2013" the following:

"and provided further, that the department shall allocate $250,000 to enhance the capacity and infrastructure of the department to license and inspect meat and poultry slaughtering and processing facilities in Massachusetts."

The bill is further amended by striking out the figure “$3,608,538” and inserting in place thereof the following:- $4,891,414
