Basic Health Plan Study

Ms. Spilka moves to amend the bill by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

“SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, by March 1, 2014 the Executive Office of Health and Human Services shall submit a report to the House and Senate Committees on Ways and Means and the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing detailing the cost savings to the Commonwealth that would result from implementation of a basic health program, pursuant to Section 9 of chapter 118E and federal law, 42 U.S.C § 18051.”
