Amendment to verify eligibility for public housing

Mr. Diehl of Whitman moves to amend the bill in items 7004-0028, 7004-0029, 7004-0030, 7004-0031, 7004-0032, 7004-0033, 7004-0034, 7004-0035, 7004-0036 and 7004-0037 of section 2 by adding the following words:- “notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of housing and economic development shall require all recipients or any person seeking housing or assistance in any form, including vouchers, to provide a valid social security number and the housing agency is required to verify the number.”
