An amendment Relative to Proof of Residency

Mr. Lyons of Andover moves to amend the bill by adding the following new section:

SECTION XX: The General Laws are hereby amended by inserting after chapter 117A the following new chapter:--

Chapter 117B

Residency Requirements for Public Benefits

Section 1. Self declaration of residency shall not be accepted as a valid form of residency verification for people seeking taxpayer-funded individual benefits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. “.
