Representatives Reinstein of Revere and Wong of Saugus moves to amend the bill Representatives Reinstein of Revere and Wong of Saugus move to amend the bill by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

“SECTION 1 Chapter 55 of the acts of 1928 is hereby amended by inserting after section 2 the following section:-

Section 2A. The representative town meeting membership shall consist in each precinct of 5 members, who shall be elected for terms of 2 years each by official ballot at a biennial town election in an even numbered year.  The 50 town meeting members who are elected in November 2013 shall serve until the annual town election in April 2016.  Every 2 years thereafter the entire membership of town meeting shall be up for re-election.”
