Amendment #32 to H3700

Eliminating the Western Turnpike Tolls

Representatives Humason of Westfield and Boldyga of Southwick moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following sections:-

“SECTION XX. Subsection (a) of section 13 of chapter 6C of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 46 of the acts of 2013, is hereby amended by striking the following sentence:-

The department shall devise and implement a fair and reasonable fee structure to charge and collect tolls for transit over the turnpike between interchange 1 in the town of West Stockbridge and interchange 6 in the city of Springfield at interstate highway route 291.

SECTION XX. Section 74 of chapter 46 of the acts of 2013 is hereby repealed.”.
