An Act providing for burial benefits under the workers' compensation act

The committee on Ways and Means recommends that the bill be amended by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

SECTION 1. Section 33 of chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition,  is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2, the words “four thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 8 times the average weekly wage in the commonwealth as determined pursuant to subsection (a) of section 29 of chapter 151A.
