Adoption of anti-bullying seals for schools and school districts to show commitment to bullying prevention and intervention

Mrs. Nyman moves to amend the bill in section 4 by inserting after subsection (l), the following new subsection:-

 

(m) Each school district, charter school, approved private day or residential school or collaborative school may adopt an anti-bullying seal to represent the district or school’s commitment to bullying prevention and intervention.

 

And further moves to amend the bill by inserting at the end thereof the following section:-

 

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 37O of chapter 71 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the official anti-bullying seal for the school district of Hanover shall be the “Rise Above Bullying” seal as created by the Cedar Elementary School in the town of Hanover.
