Amendment #18 to H3983

Equity for restaurants

Mrs. Orrall of Lakeville moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following sections:-

“SECTION XX: Section 9 of chapter 140 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, in line 6, after the words “suspend or revoke his license” the following words:- “or impose a fine for the first offense within a six month period of not less than $500 and not more than $1,000, for the second offense within a six month period of not less than $1,000 and not more than $2,000, for the third offense within a six month period of not less than $2,000 and not more than $5,000, for the fourth offense within a six month period of not less than $5,000 and not more than $10,000, for the fifth offense within a six month period of not less than $10,000.”.
