An Amendment Encouraging Youth Employment

Representatives Diehl of Whitman, O'Connell of Taunton and Lombardo of Billerica moves to amend the bill by inserting after SECTION 34 the following Section:-

“SECTION 35A. Section 1 of said chapter 151, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by adding the following sentence:-

“A training wage is hereby established at a rate of $8.00 per hour for the first 90 days of employment. This section shall only be applicable to persons under the age of 20 years old at the date of hiring”.
