Amendment #46 to H3983

Relative to establishing a 1-year waiting period for new taxes

Representatives O'Connell of Taunton, Cole of Peabody, Diehl of Whitman, Dooley, Lombardo of Billerica and Lyons of Andover moves to amend the bill by adding the following new section: SECTION XX: Chapter 58 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:- "Section 52. No new tax  shall be collected, assessed or payable until 1 year after the passage of the act in which the new tax was created."
