Amendment #1023 to H4000
Limiting Department of Children and Families custody in cases of disputed diagnosis
Representatives Durant of Spencer, Kuros of Uxbridge, Lombardo of Billerica, Cole of Peabody, Dooley of Norfolk, Fattman of Sutton and O'Connell of Taunton move to amend the bill by adding the following section:
"SECTION XXXX, The department of children and families shall not be granted custody of a child in excess of thirty days if the child is the subject of conflicting medical diagnoses from two or more institutions, pending a third professional medical opinion regarding said diagnosis"
