Amendment #1037 to H4000

Louis D. Brown Peace Institute

Representatives Sánchez of Boston, Rushing of Boston, Moran of Lawrence, Garlick of Needham, Brodeur of Melrose, Khan of Newton, Ashe of Longmeadow and Cantwell of Marshfield move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 4513-1026 the following item:

“4513-1098  For the provision of statewide support services for survivors of homicide victims, including outreach services, burial assistance, grief counseling and other support services; provided, that funds shall be expended as grants in the aggregate amount of $200,000 to the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, a community-based support organization dedicated to serving families and communities impacted by violence…………………………………………………..$200,000”
