Amendment #106 to H4000
Suffolk County Assistant Clerk
Mr. Basile of Boston moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:
"Section XXXX. Section 28D½ of Chapter 278 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, in hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following two paragraphs:--
“The first assistant clerk and the second assistant clerk of the appellate division shall receive from the commonwealth as salary an amount equal to ten per cent of, and in addition to, the salaries established and paid to them as first assistant clerk and second assistant clerk, respectively, of the superior court for criminal business in the county of Suffolk.
An employee of the office of the clerk of the superior court for criminal business in the county of Suffolk shall be designated by the clerk as a clerical assistant in matters pertaining to the business of the appellate division. The clerical assistant, so designated, shall receive from the commonwealth as salary an amount equal to ten per cent of, and in addition to, the salary established and paid to said employee in the position held by said employee in the office of the clerk.”
