Amendment #1097 to H4000

An Amendment relative to a study of service restoration on the Kingston/Plymouth and Greenbush commuter rail lines

Representatives Cutler of Duxbury, Cantwell of Marshfield, Calter of Kingston, deMacedo of Plymouth and Nyman of Hanover move to amend the bill in section 2E, in item 1595-6369, in line 3, by inserting after “Laws” the following:

 

“provided further, that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority shall report to the house and senate clerks and the Committee on Transportation not later than April 1, 2016 on the feasibility of restoring weekend commuter rail service on the Kingston/Plymouth and Greenbush lines; provided further, that the report shall include, but not be limited to: (i) the cost of restoring and providing service; (ii) the levels of weekend ridership; (iii) the length of time it will take to restore service how the cost of running weekend service; and (iv) how (i) and (ii) compare to weekend service on other lines”.
