Equipment and Technology Grant for Schools

Mr. Frost of Auburn moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7009-9600 the following item:

xxxx-xxxx For an educational equipment and learning materials grant.  Every school district shall receive not less than $20 per student enrolled in the school district to be used for educational materials, text books, lab equipment, computers or other learning materials approved by the Department of Education.  These funds may also be used towards physical safety improvements to school's or classroom that must be approved by the Department of Education… $20,000,000
