Providing for School Resource Officer Training

Mr. Cantwell of Marshfield moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7009-6390 the following item:  

7009-XXXX For the purpose of enhancing school safety and security, the Department of Education shall expend not more than 1,500,000 for grants to school districts directed for training certified school resource officers on topics including but not limited to, safety planning, crime prevention through environmental design, active shooter response, evidence based programs, and educating, counseling, and mentoring students.......1,500,000
