Amendment #1175 to H4000

W&M Technical Amendment

Mr. Dempsey of Haverhill moves to amend the bill in section 1A, in the SBA Transfer line, by striking out, each time it appears, the figure “782.4” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- 771.5;

And further moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 0612-0105, by striking out the figure “$200,000” and inserting in place thereof the figure:- $300,000;

And further moves to said section 2, in item 0710-0000, by striking out the words “provided, that the state auditor shall conduct an audit of the department of early education and care which shall include, but not be limited to:  (a) vendor payments; (b) adherences to regulations concerning the transportation of students; and (c) the integrity of the current wait list for access to care”;

And further moves to amend said section 2, in item 1595-1067, by inserting at the end thereof the following clause:- ; and, provided further, that the secretary of health and human services shall make payments of up to $22,426,667 from the Delivery System Transformation Initiatives Trust Fund to the cambridge public health commission for federal fiscal year 2014 subsequent to the transfer by the cambridge public health commission of up to $11,213,334 of its funds to said trust fund using a federally permissible source of funds which shall fully satisfy the non-federal share of such payment;

And further moves to amend said section 2, in item 4000-0700, by striking out the figure “21” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 26;

And further moves to amend said section 2, in item 4000-0880, by inserting at the end thereof the following clause:- ; and, provided further, that funds may be expended from this item for health care subsidies provided to eligible individuals under the last paragraph of section 9 and section 16D of said chapter 118E;

And further moves to amend said section 2, in item 7008-0900, by inserting at the end thereof the following:- provided further, that no less than $50,000 shall be expended for the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be expended for the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce;

And further moves to amend the bill in section 5 by inserting after the word “center”, in line 38, the following words:- ; a member from the Massachusetts Business Roundtable;

And further moves to amend said section 5 by inserting after the word “designees”, in line 51, the following sentence:-

The governor shall designate 2 members of the council to serve as co-chairs, 1 of whom shall be a member from the public sector and 1 of whom shall be a member from the private sector.

And further moves to amend the bill in section 15 by striking out, in line 303, the word “certified”;

And further moves to amend the bill in section 33 by inserting after the word “shall”, in line 438, the following words:- be authorized to;

And further moves to amend the bill by striking out section 75;

And further moves to amend the bill in section 98 by striking out, in line 1050, the words “and the attorney general”.
