An Act Relative to Motor Vehicles turning their lights on in bad weather
Mr. Hill of Ipswich moves to amend the bill by adding the following new section:
SECTION XX. Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 9D the following section:-
Section 9E. Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, operating on a way while a condition requiring the windshield wipers to be in continuous use due to rain, mist, snow, fog, or other precipitation or atmospheric moisture shall be operated with at least two lighted headlamps. Any person who violates this provision shall be punished by a fine of $35. A penalty under this section shall not be a surchargeable offense under section 113B of chapter 175.
