Amendment #331 to H4000

Relative to the Parole Board

Mr. Markey of Dartmouth moves to amend the bill by inserting the following new section:- 

 

SECTION XX.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any person currently employed by the parole board as a parole officer, whose appointment or promotion was made provisionally, who has served satisfactorily in the position for at least 6 months immediately before March 1, 2014, and who has passed a qualifying examination prescribed by the personnel administrator, shall be granted permanent civil service status in that position as of the date of the parole officer’s appointment or promotion.
