Amendment #523 to H4000

Toxics Use Reduction Institute

Representatives Nangle of Lowell and Golden of Lowell move to amend bill, in section 2, in item 2210-0106, by inserting after the words “penalties, grants and tuition under said chapter 211;” the following words:

“provided , that not less than $1,667,454, from this item shall be made available for the operation of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell; provided further, that the department shall enter into an interagency service agreement with the University of Massachusetts to make such funding available for this purpose; provided further, that not less than $644,096 from this item shall be made available for toxics use reduction technical assistance and technology in accordance with said chapter 21I;”
