Amendment #607 to H4000

An amendment relative to Bridgewater State Hospital

Representatives Khan of Newton, Gordon of Bedford, Collins of Boston, Decker of Cambridge, Kocot of Northampton, Balser of Newton, Devers of Lawrence and Livingstone of Boston move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION  XXXX.  Section 18 of Chapter 125 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:—“The medical director shall ensure that Bridgewater State Hospital provides services in compliance with all applicable federal and state standards, statutes, and regulations. The medical director shall seek, and make every effort to obtain and retain, accreditation by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and hospital level accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals
