Amendment #724 to H4000

Climate Change Preparedness throughout the Commonwealth

Representatives Collins of Boston, Ferrante of Gloucester, Schmid of Westport, Walsh of Framingham, Smizik of Brookline, Honan of Boston, Provost of Somerville, Dykema of Holliston, Peake of Provincetown, Gobi of Spencer, Brady of Brockton, Nangle of Lowell, Hecht of Watertown, Cantwell of Marshfield, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Coppinger of Boston, Cariddi of North Adams, Matewsky of Everett, Conroy of Wayland, Fox of Boston, Basile of Boston, Cutler of Duxbury, Garballey of Arlington, Calter of Kingston, Mark of Peru, Chan of Quincy, Rushing of Boston, Toomey of Cambridge, Livingstone of Boston, Markey of Dartmouth, Heroux of Attleboro, Madden of Nantucket, Holmes of Boston and Sannicandro of Ashland move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 2000-0100 the following item:

 

“2000-0101... For the executive office of energy and environmental affairs to coordinate and implement strategies for climate change adaptation and preparedness, including but not limited to the resiliency of the commonwealth's transportation, energy, and public health infrastructures; built environments; municipal assistance; improved data collection and analysis; and enhanced planning; provided, that the executive office may enter into interagency service agreements to facilitate and accomplish these efforts...$2,000,000”
