Amendment #769 to H4000

Celebration Funds

Mr. Frost of Auburn moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Section 5H of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby by amended  in lines 14 and 15, by striking out the following: “in the year of such celebration and in the year preceding or succeeding same”, and inserting in place thereof the following: “or future city or town celebrations”; and further, in line 18, by inserting after the word "town" the following:  “unless the governing body of the city or town approves to keep the surplus in the special fund for furture celebrations.".
