Amendment #781 to H4000

Ensuring Weekend Commuter Rail Service on the Old Colony Lines

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield, Cutler of Duxbury, Calter of Kingston, deMacedo of Plymouth and Nyman of Hanover move that the bill be amended by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority shall ensure the operation of weekend commuter rail service on the Kingston/Plymouth and Greenbush Lines on Saturdays and Sundays. Said service shall be maintained to and from Greenbush and South Station, and to and from Kingston and South Station.
